I'd prefer something with a storyline, but that aside, this is very well balanced, and overall pretty entertaining. The upgrade system is just right; easy to understand, tricky to use effectively.

Yeah. Turned out to be way, way, WAY too easy. I'd like to see this treated as the introduction chapter to the eventual masterpiece that the collection will be. But then, I'm hopelessly optimistic.

Now, I enjoy the game quite a bit, for what it is. I can understand the philosophy behind creating it, as all other games of this sort are just about filling the air with bullets. That said, the whole thing feels extremely half-assed. It's visually sketchy at best. It could be a lot more involving with a setting-defined protagonist; a spaceship, rather than some huge frickin' guy. Or even just change the coloration to make it a robot or mech.

This could have some real potential if pacing and immersive quality are addressed. I'd certainly come back for another try.

Art's half-assed, and the "everyone sucks but me" motif just makes me snore. You're crapping on people for prejudice, and deciding the best way to do this is lump everyone who lives in your area into two categories and denying any possibility of individuality. That's EXACTLY THE SAME as the racism you see as wrong. So congrats on being a truly integrated citizen of St Crapsburg.

On the technical side, pretty decent first try. Look deeper, tighten your aim, and I'm sure your next piece will have the biting wit you were trying for. Also, when trying to do absurdist, go much much farther. You would have gotten shock laughs at least if said hillbillies were shagging donkeys and shooting a dead car.

I don't doubt that this means something to you, but you're not here to give me the artist's interpretation, and frankly I don't think this deserves the space regardless.
You're supposed to be catering to an audience here, and I can conceive of no potential audience for this besides the friends you make watch it.

You know those MadTV and SNL skits that just keep going despite not even being really funny once, and you change the channel and come back five minutes later and the SAME one liner is repeated yet again? Concentrate all of those ever written into a singular joke, with a singular punchline, and you have the clock crew.

One trick ponies get put down fast. Find a new gimmick. This one got old the day you came up with it.

And yes, I know this submission will get nepotism-based 10's by the bucketload. Bush got a nepotism based presidency; That doesn't prevent him from sucking hard.
